Rose Day
Rose day is a tradition common in Ought and Jouilat cultures that takes place on the Market Day before Alisanne's Blessing. It is traditionally a day for people to give gifts to prospective partners or lovers as a declaration of their intentions. While gifts may vary, it is traditional to give a single rose. It is a common belief that if the received rose lasts until Alisanne's Blessing then you will be blessed with a loving and lasting relationship, but if the roses wilts it is said the relationship will not last. If the rose completely dies before Alisanne's Blessing then it is considered extremely bad luck to get into a relationship, and doing so could lead to extreme heartache.
