Personal history

Clothar I of House Birinus was born the only son of Queen Ingund. In 1580 AD, when he was still a babe, he accompanied his mother, and sister along with the Royal retinue as they traveled the Valefeld Forest, being forced to stay at an inn fifteen miles from the capital of Dynasty's Dawn. That night the inn was attacked by a group of raiders, who, despite the efforts of the personal guard and the Steward, came close to slaying the Royal family. However, they were saved by the timely intervention of a group of Meldari Freelancers, who slew the approaching raiders. One of the Elves asked the steward to speak with the Royal family, who agreed. The elf showed no care for the Queen’s gratitude and fixed his emerald eyes on the baby held by his mother. Claiming he wouldn’t harm the child for “he is far too important”, the elf called the child "Dor Aksû", meaning "Young Warrior" in their language, and placed a finger lightly on the baby’s forehead before giving him a cryptic message: “Do what your kind does best… break it... then make it whole again.” The Elven Freelancers then left the inn without a further glance at the Royal family.

Clothar I was raised in the capital of the Kingdom, as Hildegarde's heir. During his youth he gained a reputation coveting taverns and gambler's dens, as well as having a poor attendance record to the Temple of Aarus, although his behavior changed with his marriage and the birth of his son, named Childevic II for his grandfather.
