Braveholm

Braveholm is located on the edge of The Dark in Galan. Half of the kingdom is outside The Dark, the other half is in it. The harsh mountain conditions in the Dark Peak Mountains and The Dark's beasts and environment made these Men stubborn and strong. Typical cold mountain nation, with their King ruling over them. They believe deeply in loyalty and sacrifice for their nation and people. Braveholm is constantly at war with Thraxia, defending the rest of Galan from the calamity of the Hive Elves. The other nations do respect Braveholm for this, usually resulting in good trade and avoidance of war with Braveholm, because if Braveholm falls, the Hive Elves will spread to the rest of the continent.
The people of Braveholm could be considered a little extreme in their hatred, not seeing Hive Elves as mortals at all, just beasts to be slain. This is understandable when these Elves have slaughtered thousands of their people. A lot of the culture of Braveholm is about Hive Elf genocide. Not everyone in Braveholm is a warrior though, and they never allow women in battle. Many people are fur trappers, miners, fishers, and loggers. Lumber, fur, and rocks are their main export. Cold Steel, a rare and magical resource, is found in these mountains as well, which many of the more skilled soldiers use to craft their weapons.
