When Axon ascended the Tower of Truth all of Dolarze was destroyed. The God Hunters where left with pieces of a broken world and worlds that had been destroyed before it. Axon gave Lothren his power, but not his knowledge. Lothren refused his old friends and regretted his crimes that they had committed. His friends turned on him with anger, those who had been tricked into God Hunting sided with Lothren. A fight began between beings more powerful than any before them and Cos was born to be their battleground. Lothren promised that he would ascend this world and join Axon in Truth.

These are the majority of the gods who created Cos. There are more such as the gods of the Fey Folk who abandoned Cos and created the Otherworld, as well as the creators of the Ever Dark and its shadows. Those gods abandoned the fight when Dolarze was destroyed when Axon Transcended the Tower of Truth. While the gods of Cos began to fight and created a world for their battlegrounds as many gods had before them. Witnessing the transcendence of Axon the Old Ones and Behomeths grew interested in Cos and joined in its creation and war. The Behomeths created their own beings and the Old Ones allowed ways to be contacted by the creatures of the plane. This was the first time either group of beings had cared for something other than themselves.
