Highlord Estabia Sanctaidd

Highlord of the Glom'oss

Estabia's story began during his coming of age. Being next in line to rule the throne within a province known as Østmarsj, his tutors were his step-parents, Uncle Trogvir and Aunt Yjova. The Sanctaidd family was titled such for their deeds in the past of leading their people of Utstrålande, settling in and building a military town for the purpose of hunting escapees and others banished from their city of Sjøfyr. The outcasts were becoming a constant disruption for day-to-day life for the denizens of the countryside; and the Highlord wasn't tolerating it any longer. Estabia's Uncle was one among many to lead a scouting expedition due East, as Estabia was left to care for his Aunt, who passed not long after. The young man was just able to fend for himself in the society he grew up in.
Seven years into his adulthood, he had begun to have diminished faith in the Goddess his peers and civilization prayed to. It was within this forlorn path did he meet a traveling Åndeslørian woman named Misii. The two felt a kinship, and Misii provided a new faith to hold close. The two experienced a lot of their future growth together, and eventually bonded their souls together. Their rings being pierced, they pronounced life together.   By 2737 AC, and just in time for Last Feast, where the chosen lord would be announced. The table was mighty, the feast was bountiful, and Estabia sat above all others, being the most responsible for the construction efforts and it's direction. He was accepted as lord of the settlement, sitting and ruling from within his bastion for many decades.   By his 40s, Estabia had earned his reputation and ballads, glory and wealth, all of it was his; until an interloper arrived from the East to take his throne from him...   After a duel for his seat, Estabia found himself poisoned from a drink he ceremonially took in honor of his opponent's failure. The lord tapped into his ancestral connections, but found himself lacking all the same. He fell at the hands of the traitor, as he proceeded to succeed everything from him; his citadel, his territory, his charge. The line was however drawn when his lover was taken from him. 3 straight years of torment Misii endured for the sake of him.     He awoke. His bed chambers unfamiliar, his bed sideways, before he discovered he was in the crypts beneath his old city. He was casted out of his home, people afraid with what they have seen, and what Estabia would learn; Undeath has taken him. The skeletal lord escaped to the East, as he knew not where else to run. While traveling, he sword he heard a shrieking woman in his dreams.   He would come to reunite with his lover who had passed, carrying a special flower from a shrine he discovered. They together learned of the exiles, seeming to have been building a new settlement in these misty forgotten lands.   Estabia would discover a power locked away, and embrace the energy latent in the ruins of a castle that must date back to the Third Awakening. He now rules as the Highlord of a broken faction of the Glom'oss, those abandoned or exiled from their former homes.
Highlord Estabia's initial intention for the Glom'oss was to further the efforts made by the exiles to create a new home for the lost. Through the influence of Misii and the necrotic magic he now commanded, he took the extra initiative to seek out those who have passed, in which the soul still clings to the material plane, in order to bring them back to finish their business. This proved valuable, as those in question found themselves more intuned with the same magic that Estabia wields, becoming valuable soldiers, generals, and citizens. These are also who make up a large portion of the Glom'ossian societies, leading to the common belief that these draigi are all monsters.
