Deity
Almost every culture and species on Corth has at least one god, sometimes dozens. These gods all really exist, on different layers of reality which overlap with the Material Plane. They can manifest in their temples or in the presence of their priests to speak with their worshippers and are only visible to gods of other pantheons when they do so.
Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Gods are not generally able to reproduce in the manner of mortals. The elder two motu gods formed the younger two out of the raw material of the universe, and the dwarven and mardish mythologies both credit a mother goddess with giving birth to the first sapients, but there are few or no myths in which a god gives birth to another god. Gods occasionally split or merge: the Kadarin god Wetos, for example, is an aspect of Timos who has begun to be worshipped independently.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
All gods have truesight, which allows them to see in complete darkness or blinding light, and see through illusions.
Civilization and Culture
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Gods speak all languages in existence. They cannot derive the existence of a language they don't know about unless people who speak that language know about them.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Very few people on Corth deny that the gods really exist, but some challenge their claims to have done everything they claim to have done. For example, it is sometimes pointed out that the world-creation myths of various religions are mutually contradictory.
Lifespan
Gods are immortal and do not age. They can be killed, but will not die of natural causes.
Average Height
Most gods choose to manifest at the same scale as their petitioners. For example, a dwarven god will manifest in the form of a dwarf, the same height as their priest.
