Corporate Warfare

As species traveled further into the depths of space nations became a thing of the past. Ideology is the flag people now stand under and leading the cause sprout mega corporations.   Each corporation, big or small, has their own ideas of what should make up the social contract. Individuals join these corporations for security, peace of mind, a sense of belonging and of course to carve out their own place in the universe.   Of course, corporations are all after the ever elusive buck. At first simply providing a service and/or good was enough. a corporation could control a planet and profit successfully, but you can never have enough. Soon corporations looked to the stars and began staking claims with the goal of cultivating new worlds full of people needing more and thus spending more.   Soon enough the reach of these corporations edged closer to one another and eventually overlapped. Wars broke out with privatized army's, funded by the corporations and fueled by the patriotism of the corporation's citizens.   This is the age in which you exist. Tensions between corporations grow uneasy, corporate identity clash with one another threatening war and the race to colonize the known universe begins to spark a galactic war.
