A small town in a dale, that used to be a setting for copper miners centuries ago. There's little copper left here nowadays, and people don't really do mining any longer. It's been snowing for 136 years consequently, and the snow shows no sign of stopping. Pretty much like in the rest of England, and probably - the world.
Community of Coppermore survives mostly through wood trade and pottery. There are a couple of similar villages nearby, but to get from one to another people have to survive a long track through windswept plateaus, forests and frozen lakes. It's a cold, harsh world, but the warmth between people keeps them sane.
Oh, and there's a plane graveyard just nearby! Happy scavenging.
