Gaussian River

This river runs through The Shattered Badlands and throughout  the continent of Chattenfall. the water here is known for its vibrant light blue coloration, known in local legend as being blessed by the goddess Mellora the Wildmother, and Pelor.

Ecosystem

dotted along the banks of the river, several large oasis-type pockets of vibrant and robust life can be seen. various dense pockets of trees and frond-type plants grow along the banks of the river. several types of tropical birds come here to make their nests and the fruits from these trees often feed the indiginous life of The Shattered Badlands and the Vanadium Frontier. additionally several species of fish call the waters their home.

Fauna & Flora

As previously mentioned, several species of fish call these waterways home. Although to compensate for the unusually clear waters, many of these creatures have adapted and evolved to have exceptionally keen camouflage abilities. Furthermore some of these fish species have been reported to even have the ability to make themselves invisible almost identically to the effects of the Invisibility spell.

Tourism

Clerics, paladins and other religious followers of both the Wildmother and Pelor come to these waters for both prayer, and to collect the waters from these rivers. According to acolytes of these two entities, the waters from the Gaussian river can be used to amplify the divine effects of certain rituals, ore even be used to make more potent forms of holy waters used in the combating of undead and purification of tainted lands.
