Dune Dryad

Dune Dryads are natural feature-created Fairies who live in the southern desserts of Continental. They are created by the massive sand dunes which fill and move through the great expanse. Unlike these Fairies environment, which is ever shifting and free form; the Dune Dryads have very concrete forms and permanent residences. This fact makes them black sheep among feature and phenomena created Fairies, who like to live in a similar manner to the thing which creates them. Dune Dryads possess the following powers:
  • Manipulation of sand
  • Ability to reform their body if damaged or split
  • Can absorb nearby sand to increase their size
  • Immunity to sandstorms
  • Turning hard soil into sand
  • Creation of mirages (Illusion Projection)
The constant shifting nature of dunes makes it easier and almost regular for Dune Dryads to not exist for very long. Many may only live three human lifetimes before they perish. This makes them interact with human culture in a different way than other Fairies would.
