The Codex Dragon

The Codex Dragons is are an ancient type dragon that can live for thousands of years. This dragon's hoard is not like a normal hoard. Mostly because it is mostly made of books, that are neatly organized. This has earned it the nickname the librarian dragon
The reason why this dragon is so admired and such, is mostly because of how much knowledge it has. It is seen as a symbol of knowledge and power, so many have area's dedicated to Codex Dragons. Some kingdoms themselves make big library's for the Codex Dragons, in hope that they will come and live on their land.
Codex Dragons are also very territorial dragons, so be careful when trying to approach one. The easiest way to survive a encounter with a Codex Dragon, is if you bring a offering of some sort. The offerings that would be (normally) accepted by the average Codex Dragon are:

• Books
• Graphic Novels
• Magazines
• Newspapers
• Scrolls
• Food (Preferably meat)
• Bookmarks

If you have one of these offerings to give the Codex dragon, you should be able to pass. Weather you are trying to get into their lair, or you are just trying to get past one, if you have one of these items, you should be able to get passed them (normally).
One of the ways you can tell if a dragon is a Codex Dragon, is if the scales on the back of the dragon are about the size of the average dinner plate. Other than that, if you are able to see their lair, then that should be able to give you some insight to what kind of dragon it is as well.
