Conflux

Conflux is a mystical world with magic running through everything from the sentient beings inhabiting its surface to the rocks and dirt making up the world. As such, Conflux's nature is similar to what you would consider "normal" in some ways, but also amplified or extremely different in others. The history of Confluxian nations and cultures is also very unorthodox. Sentient life did not evolve here in Conflux. Nearly all sentient life on Conflux is descended from groups of travelers who arrived in this new land and brought elements of their home cultures with them. As a result, the typical tropes and dynamics between races and nations have changed as unlikely alliances were formed throughout the ages.   Conflux is a beautiful world curated by the one sentient being native to Conflux itself, the Great Giant. The Great Giant was born with the world and acts as its peacekeeper. Gentle at heart yet fearsome in battle, the Great Giant is revered by nearly all peoples as the benevolent caretaker of Conflux. The Great Giant typically lets the peoples of Conflux have their own dealings amongst themselves without his involvement, but in time of great distress and war, the Great Giant has influenced history and changed the course of events.   Being a world full of raw magical power, Conflux is also attractive to unsavory types of conquerors, gods, and those not from the material plane. The Great Giant is the also the great defender of the world, but he is often aided by powerful heroes of Conflux who fight at his side to maintain order and peace. The greatest of these heroes are often mentioned in the legends of the Great Giant, and as history plays on, many are sure to be added to these elite ranks. Conflux is a place full of wonder and danger, exciting for anyone looking for a chance to earn such a name for themselves.
