The Old Ruins

These old ruins stand tall against the empty sky of the island of which they stand upon. They look ready to fall apart at a moments notice, but have withstood centuries of weathering. Skeletons litter the ground, singing of an ill fate to those that try to enter and conquer the dungeon hidden within. There is no name for these grounds. No flags hang upon decaying flagpoles, and no names are engraved in what remains of the stonework.

This dungeon has been overtaken by the local flora, but there is no animal life near. No birds nest within the decaying turrets, and no deer or horse take shelter in what remains of the stables. There is no natural life within these grounds, but an evil presence hangs overhead, filling all who near with an unshakable sense of dread. These ruins do not wish to be explored. They do not invite the common folk to reclaim them.

Those that dare enter this dungeon or either brave or foolish. it is a fine line to walk, and one easily crossed.

Crumbling remains of a once great castle, now left to time and nature's whims.

Ruins lost to time
Stories told by the locals of this place speak only of death and curses. They fear the ruins, and none from the local village will go within three days travel of it. They will not aid adventurers that seek the treasures within the decrepit halls.
