The Festival has begun!

A strange feeling has filled the air this harvest, many feel apprehensive, despite the typical joy and excitement this time of year brings most people.   The Harvest Festival is a yearly occurrence. For one week, everything closes down at night, and people dance and party, sing and drink. They raise their glasses to one another, and give thanks for what they have been blessed with in the year. Farmers are praised and rewarded for the largest pumpkin, the largest harvest, and the best scarecrow. Much like our own "Halloween", children flock to the streets in home made costumes, racing from house to house, tavern to tavern, and even person to person to ask for candy- and often times walk away with more candy than they can carry! Pillow cases larger than they are tall, and the occasional 'invention' of a wagon with candy bags in it to save their poor pillow cases from being ruined by the ground.   This year, however, The Festival has an eerie air about it. The festivities continue as per usual, but a strange mist hangs close to the ground around the towns of Slumore and Pinehall. Something evil this way comes, and the townsfolk of both towns have banded together despite their differences to gather three heroes of legend to figure out what is causing such unrest among the townsfolk, and put a stop to it. Can they do it? Only time will tell.

Pumpkins, hay, and alcohol. What a marvellous mix of smells in the evening air. Children fill the streets, weaving between legs and diving through crowds. Laughter fills your ears. There is nowhere in town that does not feel like home.
"The festival is one of my favourite things! I love seeing kids race about Ichorrift in full costume." ~Martin B.
