Summary

The physical world is made from the remains of a primordial deity. The Evershard is a piece of him that wasn't reshaped into normal matter, and it was left with the mortals so that one day the god would regain consciousness.

Variations & Mutation

There's some variation on exactly which god was disemboweled to create the world. Sometimes they're an elder being and sometimes they're a ravenous eldritch monster
