The Rise of Awa

Awa, a nomad from the Badlands of Soli, walked the ashes of the old world three half-centuries after the eruption of Mana Nui, and in the darkness of volcanic winter, Awa dreamed of a brighter future. According to the Gospels of Gbosu, a young Awa parted ways from xir tribe at the age of 13 and set out southwards towards the stone city of Neskhenay, intending to study the history of the all-powerful emperors of the ancient world. Xe crossed the deserts of Aza and reached Rhukatin where xe studied the Anyan scrolls under the Daraja priests of Neskhenay. Xe spent six years in Neskhenay and Rhukatin, near the ancient seat of Khana learning. Then xe travelled to the Uul Mountains, and spent time in the Rakṣaka monasteries, improving and perfecting xirself in the image of the divine Khana. The Old Gods surely smiled on Awa, for in their wisdom, the young noble was granted the power to unite the disparate peoples of Cùl-tìre, and at the age of 29, xe travelled back north through the Akun highlands to the plains of Mabu, where xe founded the city of Babirnin-Awanna, the Great City of Paradise, and around xir golden throne, grew the mighty Awanna Empire.
