Chult

The island of Chult is complete with a jungle with more undead than a lich could ever control, and dinosaurs larger than the likes of the Underdark could imagine, and the "door to the undead" surrounded by the "Peaks of Flame", Chult is surely a land of nightmares. However, at the same time, it is home to many exotic materials. From timber to the spotted melfanda lizard who's poison is used in for both killing and healing. With a large port city, Port Nyanzaru, Chult has become renown for exporting many exotic materials.   Chult is also home to many exotic races such as the Pterafolk, a terrifying race of lizard-like humanoids who can grow wings at will and razor-like claws, and the Batiri, a species of Goblin with tribes varying from 20 to 200. It's also home to small tribes of Wild Dwarves and hunter-gathering humans. The more feral and snake-like types of the Yuan-Ti are also native to Chult where they band together in small tribes, killing most intruders on sight or capturing them for worse, more ritualistic killings for their god, Dendar.   Dendar is prophesied to eat the sun, and even the world, if allowed. Meanwhile, the humans, who more commonly refer to themselves as Tabaxi even without the cat-like aspects of that race, worship the god Ubtao, who is said to be the creator of Chult and founder of Mazro, the now-abandoned holy city of Chult, where it is said the Ubtao lives and protects the door keeping Dendar out of the world. Should Ubtao ever fall weak, Dendar will surely wreak havoc on the entire world, and if not stopped in time, consume life itself.
