Chronicles of the Mytherion

Chronicles of the Mytherion is a play by post roleplaying game set in an alternate version of Earth that has been reintroduced to concepts of magic and monsters that long ago had become myth and legend. While the populace begins to open their eyes, they are besieged by the fear of monsters as they are locked behind what are to be called Doors, entrances to wondrous and deadly spaces that appear seemingly out of nowhere and open after a while releasing the monsters held within.

The purpose that drives those who participate in this game is to defend their lives and others and explore the new possibilities that begin to be revealed to the player as their characters grow stronger and develop their understanding of the changes happening to their home.

Within this setting, the players were ordinary people in the modern day that have gone through a process called "Ignition" allowing them the chance to fight back against monsters using a variety of skills and magics. They have chosen to enter the Doors and strike back against the monsters before they are allowed to be released, these people are called Divers and they hold the future in their grasp.
