Notes
The largest known combat ship in Furse Fleets. They are more armed carrier, both starfighter, and troop, then warship. Designed to be able to go to any number of hot spot and put down rebellions, revolts, raids, invasions. Each System Lord is expect to support one fully capable Star Carrier for the Empire, and if not risks losing their rank and status. System Lords, on top of paying for the cost of ship, crew, supplies, etc, yearly, often has a single one for use for their home guard.
Class Information
The Star Carrier is the largest class of carrier in Furse Space. Produced by many of the shipyards throughout Furse Space, each with their own spin. Compact and quick, they use the same tech and design as most Furse vessels to reach far and wide in the Settled Worlds. Fastest known ships.
The Star Carrier is an armed carrier for both star-fighter and troops. Although it holds enough weapons to combat most threats, it is not a built warship, but a ferry. Their large supplies of starfighters allow them to hang back in battle as their fighters swarm targets up close when it comes to a fight, which it rarely does.
Most Star Carriers are seen above worlds. Designed to transport troops for the quick response time to put down rebellions, revolts, raids, and invasions. They allow the Imperial Guards of Furse Space to move troops quickly, and not out planetary defenses before landing troops to take control of the world. Mobile bases which can withdraw when threaten, or launch sneak attacks and drop most their troops on a world quickly before using their Jump Drives to leave the system.
System-lords throughout Furse Space use the Star Carrier as their primary warship to support the required military needs required of them by law. Rich System-lord often have one or more in their Home Guard fleets.
Like many Furse Ships, they are designed to support human life, and unlike military vessels, you can find whole decks supported to growing food or livestock.
Supported by 500 starfighters, 65 Shuttles often used as landing craft, and 25 assault boats used to punch holes into ships and assault teams to attempt to take over enemy vessels.
Armed with 25 anti ships cannons, 32 light gun cannons, and 60 point defense guns makes them a formidable warship in their own right, but often out classed by vessels the same size, but their speed is passed by none.
