Highlord

Highlords – Highlords are the top lords within a System, and follow under the command of System-lords. They are rulers of worlds, asteroids, minor worlds, moons, shipyards, star fortresses, and other places where people call home. A star system can have anything from a single Highlord in control of a single world, to six, ten, or even a dozen Highlords. In Furse Space it is rare for a Highlord to also hold the rank of System-lord, while in Fabian Space it is more common for lords to hold multiple ranks of different tiers. A system-lord is often the Highlord of the primary world of the system as well or granted to a heir or Under-lord, while in Furse Space the Highlords are often a minor branch of the System-lords clan.
Lords which rule entire minor sub-systems might only retain the rank of Highlord instead of system-lord because their wealth, strength, power, and influence is small.
A Highlord will have dozens of Great lords under his control as vassals, and banner-lords.
