The Vvind

In order to sail across this unusual see the inhabitants of the islands, also known as the Lentaa, have devised a boat-like vehicle called the Ohjata (oh-ja-ta). The body is comprised of a light wooden frame with structured canvas in between. There is a decent sized sail under the body and two nets that each hold a pyorivalo(pee-your-ee-vah-low), a creature that produces helium. The pyorivalo keeps the ohjata above the clouds, they have to be fed and cared for.

Geography

The Vvind, which also means wind, is a sea of clouds that separates the Korvvind from the Untervvind. Within this sea of clouds, there are many islands scattered across the surface. Below the clouds is not water but a different world that is almost completely isolated from the inhabtants of the islands. The Vvind has several layers, the surface Korpilvi(core-peel-lu-vee), is made of dense clouds that swirl and move with the wind. Directly below is the largest layer Tupilvi(two-peel-lu-vee), an even denser cloud that is dark and usually contains storms. The lowest layer, Matpilvi(mat-peel-lu-vee), is a thin/misty layer that moves slowly and is the only habitable layer since it can touch the ground.

Fauna & Flora

The flora and fauna of the Vvind are creatures who spend a majority, if not the entirety, of their life floating or flying in the Vvind. Common passive creatures are the taivalas, large passive creatures that look like sky whales, and pyorivalos, cute and round creatures that ingest carbon dioxide and water then, produce oxygen and helium. The Kettuva is a smaller fox-like creature that hunts in the Vvind but nests on the Korv islands, they are normally passive unless provoked. One of the most deadly creatures in the Vvind is the Vaara, a large serpent-like creature that's carnivorous, no one knows why a Vaara attacks. It is considered the symbol of Vvindnir, an entirely chaotic neutral being, just like the god himself.

Natural Resources

Water is scarce on the islands so the Vvind is the only place the inhabitants can aquire it.
