Those who enter this sacred land are free from the dangers of the surface, yet they know not of the dangers that lie within...

Structure

The Hallitdlier reigns supreme, with the Tailokka guiding their hand. Below these are the Valtdliers, the noble families who rule over the palija (common people). The Valtdliers answer directly to the Tailokka, and if deemed worth, may become the next royal family.

Public Agenda

The current ruling family, the Vayhth (vae-ha-th), will conquer all of the surface and the beyond-lands in hopes of satisfying Lolak's hunger.

Assets

Karth has access to the surface surrounding it, the nearby cave systems, and the skies. Although Karth owns the neighboring cave systems, you are not considered a true citizen unless you live on the surface.

History

Karth was founded by the Vayhth family and has ruled it ever since; many arrogant Valtdlier families have tried their hand at taking the throne and all failed. The Vayhth are a personal favorite of Lolak, any who wish to go up against them will need a brilliant plan or steal Lolak's favor.

Karth started out as a good sized group of surakija and a few other sentient races. They became organized under Karyht Vayhth(car-heh vae-ha-th), a strong surakija, with a strong sense for strategy. He caught the eye of Lolak pretty quickly with his quick thinking and ability to keep control of the situation. The goddess chose him as her Hyody(yo-die), an envoy to carry her spirit and her will. With the goddess behind him, Karyht swiftly brought the ragged group together under one city, one that would become the largest country in the Alle.

Demography and Population

A majority of the population comprises of Surakija, the other minor races include: Kohina, smaller salamander-like humanoids, Eilann, large and hairy creatures with bat wings, and the Percians, small humanoid creatures who are one with the rocks.

Military

The military of Karth is one of the strongest, second only to Maust (moss-t), the capital of the depths. The Hallitdlier family usually serve as generals, the Valtdlier families supply the lieutenants and other mid to higher tier positions depending on the family, and the palija comprises the common soldiers.

Religion

The goddess Lolak has chosen Karth as her capital, and the surak are her chosen creations. Other species may worship Lolak, and other beliefs are allowed within the city. However, if one wishes to rise the ranks they must prove themselves to the goddess.

Foreign Relations

Since their goal is to colonize the surface lands, all peoples who live underground are not subject to conquering. Most of the underground civilizations are friendly with Karth, others are neutral trading partners. The kingdom of the Varikas, Maust, is the only country that Karth is not on great terms with. Maust follows no god if one were to pick out anything that they do worship it would be knowledge. Knowledge is all important and the only valuable thing to a Varikas. Lolak strives for the knowledge of the ancients, and the Varikas refuses to share theirs with the people of Karth.
