This is the empress of The Empire. A hard and tough woman she was born to emperor Karath with her being a woman she would not have been able to ascend the throne if not for her uncle King Sasesh of the eastern border she would have been overthrown by her numerous cousins and the courtiers that did not support the old emperors choice. The empress grew up among vultures coming for her throne and she fought hard for her throne many respect her for holding on to her power others say she wouldn't have made it without her uncle's support whatever anyone says though no one can doubt she is a tough woman.

I thought that this was in the 1920's or something, but they have a female leader?
The line of the emperors just didn't get a son so the latest emperor had his daughter take over.
To note though there were cousins and such that said that they had a greater claim to the throne so she had to fight off lots of people coming for her throne while she was not secure on the throne.
