Goliath

Basic Information

Anatomy

Goliaths are similar to the Human but with a much denser skeletal structure, denser muscular structure and significantly taller on average. They have skin of a variety of colors between reddish white and brownish grey. On the part of the Goliath with no joints the body grows thick plates of hard bone; between those plates a thick cartilage rich flesh grows on the joints and back to provide support and protection. These plates and cartilage supports are coated in flesh much like many animals horns and hooves.

Genetics and Reproduction

Goliath reproduction is sexual internal fertilization with an internal gestation period of 14 months. Goliath reproduction requires a larger volume of sperm to effectively fertilize the female egg and as such male Goliaths ejaculate a large amount. In order to interbreed with a female Goliath the male may need to have multiple ejaculations for fertilization. Goliath infants are born to be fully capable within an hour of birth thanks to their longer gestation period.

Growth Rate & Stages

A Goliath grows to full maturity by around 20 years of age; traversing the Little One, Young One, Quick One and Wise One stages. These stages are differentiated by the development of the bone and cartilage plates on the body; a Little One having almost no bone or cartilage plates to a Wise One having thick plates almost like armor across their entire body.

Ecology and Habitats

Elves are biologically adapted to live in most, non-severely hostile, environments. Most locations Goliaths inhabit have a large population of the Dapibus cattle.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Goliaths can consume most foods but require a large amount of calcium, protein and vitamins to survive. Goliaths can get these nutrients from large amounts of food or they can eat the meat and milk from the Dapibus that they ranch in large amounts.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Goliaths have normal hearing in air and normal vision in sunlight and moonlight.
