Lich Queen Thistle

Queen Thistle (a.k.a. Lich Queen Thistle)

"As we walk the streets of Capital you may notice how beautifully efficient the layout is, designed to capture the sun and guide the wind into the city centre while also efficiently dealing with traffic. However, as you can see here, this section of brickwork is just one of many mini memorials to the Capital that was." The walking tour guide stops at the entrance to a side street of small shops and cafe's and gestures to a brick wall, upon many of the bricks is carved either a mixture of names, depictions of shopfronts and street maps. "The residents who survived the redesign created murals like this one to commemorate all that had been before Queen Thistle's great redesign." Moving on the tour approaches the Imperial palace, stopping by the fence and gesturing up at it the tour guide continues: "The last powerful ruler of the Royal House of Capital, Queen Thistle was instrumental in redesigning Capitals layout she worked the redesign around ancient landmarks; flattening large swathes of the city at a time with necrotic magic then using the undead created as labourers to rebuild as per her specifications." Continuing on to a series of statues and fountains in the public plaza in front of the palace and administrative buildings. "As we can see here, the statues depict great victories and the fountains a great defeat, those two fountains were created during the rain of Queen Thistle, and that statue was erected shortly before her death. Her relationship with her generals was fractious at the best of times, and due to their reluctance to follow her orders the Kingdom, as it was a monarchy then, suffered many defeats. Although during these defeats many of the generals were killed, Queen Thistle chose their successors well, hence the statue of victory." The statue is of a gallant war spider with full barding, atop it are depictions of the four generals that took place in the battle, each with a bow or spear, and riding in the drivers position, larger than the rest is Lich Queen Thistle, depicted as a smiling grandmother in courtly robes she holds a sword aloft pointed straight ahead.
