Chav

Surrounded by a dense, unclearable fog is the continent of Chav, a continent shrouded in mystery.   A hundred or so years ago an event known simply as the Calamity ravaged Chav, tearing up the land, displacing cultures and communities, and killing thousands, kickstarted by the death of the gods that were supposed to protect these things. According to what history books remain, the culprit of the massacre of land and people was Madelhari, a lesser god who believed that the pantheon was corrupt and exploited mortals for personal gain.   Some blame him for the suffering of the Chavic people, saying that through the serial murders of the head gods, the land lost its worth. However, many see Madelhari as a savior, breaking mortals from the restricting chain of the corrupt gods under one true ruler of Chav. Regardless, of varying opinion, all mortals can agree that it was through him, the Wrathful God, and his actions that brought Chav into the era of relative peace.   However, times are changing. Whispers in the dark say that Madelhari is not who he seems, that he didn’t start, or didn’t choose to start the Calamity, or the Calamity never happened at all. A new era is on the horizon..   A truly godless one.
