Mycia (my-see-uh)

Mycia is a form of energy that when applied to the world properly, can accomplish a number of feats most would call impossible. Mycia is most commonly used in The Shadow Lands. Few species are able to generate and use their own Mycia, most of which are believed to have gone extinct. The few that can are all Rare Species such as The Twilit, Ancient Draco, and Ahamkara. Mycia can be stored as energy in a special container and used by those who can’t generate their own mycia. The most common containers are a special type of crystal created in Brakvine, and a special mineral called tetrahegem, mined and refined in Eryset.

Types of Magic

Transmutation - Turning one object into another. Using an energy medium and a transmutation circle, you can deconstruct the properties of one object and reconstruct them into another. Objects can only use the atoms they have on a molecular level to be reconstructed. You couldn’t take a spoon and turn it into a spaceship. You could take a spoon and turn it into a fork.
Summoning - Can pull one object from a place in space to another. Using an energy medium Summoning requires a trade to be sacrificed for performing the summon. The trade must be of equal value to the item summoned. Items are placed on a summon circle and the energy medium is placed in the middle.
Voodoo - Can cause equal damage to an object through a magic link. Both objects must be charged by an energy medium and have a representation of the other. Damage done to one will be done to the other. Very popular among kobolds.
Destruction?
Spirits / Ghosts - Ghosts are created from beings that had the ability to create their own mycia after they pass on. When something like a twilit being, Draco, or ahamkara dies, they turn into a ghost and their spirit lingers on, using up some of the energy until it’s all expelled.
Enchanting - Adding the ability for an object to carry magic energy. Only specific metals and crystals have the ability to carry this energy. They can then be used as a medium for other magic.
Shapeshifting -
Telepathy - Using Mycia, one can enchant their mind to connect with others, transmitting their thoughts into the target, or even pulling the target’s thoughts into their own mind. The latter can be quite dangerous to the target, and leave them with permanent damage unless conducted by an expert with mycia.
