Backstory

Kaiso was born to a half orc mother and a fire genasi father in a modest town. Her parents were local officials with a reputation for their no-nonsense attitude.
Kaiso was a very rambunctious child and her half orc and fire genasi traits proved to be a challenge for her parents. Kaiso caused a lot of trouble due to her restlessness and not knowing what to do, her parents sent her to a nearby farm every day to run around and expend all her energy. While on the farm, Kaiso started helping out the farm hands by throwing sacks of flour and wheat on and off of wagons.
Impressed by her strength at a young age, Kaiso’s parents entered her in a Pentathlon to see how well she would do. During that first competition, at just 8 years old, Kaiso won a discus throwing competition against a teenager. Kaiso’s father quickly saw her potential. He found a prestigious monk academy in the next city over and sent Kaiso there to hone her skill and refine her reflexes and patience.
Kaiso spent her formative years crafting her mind and body into the perfect athlete. She gained competitive skills in long distance and short distance running, long jumping, discus and javelin throwing, and wrestling. At age 15, Kaiso became a professional athlete and competed in events across the land, gaining recognition and fame. She was set for life, but Kaiso was not truly happy.
Almost every day, Kaiso’s father would contact her via message, sending stone or spell to pester her about her diet, exercise schedule, and performance. He wanted a daughter he would be proud of and he was would stop at nothing to get that. Kaiso started to despise her father and would ignore his advice, sometimes losing matches on purpose just to anger him.
Kaiso’s career continued until one fateful competition when she was 24 years old.
Kaiso entered a wrestling event with her best friend, Ekarta. During their match, Kaiso became frustrated at Ekarta’s superior strength. Kaiso fought to control her feelings and remember what the monks taught her but she failed and lost her temper. Fire and flames licked from her skin and covered Ekarta’s body, burning her. Immediately the referees dumped buckets upon buckets of ice water onto Kaiso to get her to snap out of it and extinguish the flames. Ekarta survived but was seriously burnt.
Shortly after this accident, Kaiso packed up and vanished from competitive sports. She left her coaches, friends and family behind and tried to start anew.
