Quick Facts

Race: Human
Appearance: 5’10, 200lbs, cropped black and white hair, eyepatch
Age: 28
Birthday: 3/31 (Aries)   Personality Traits: I idolize a particular hero of my faith and constantly refer to that person's deeds and example. I once ran twenty-five miles without stopping to warn my clan of an approaching orc horde. I'd do it again if I had to.
Ideals: Creativity. I never run the same con twice. My gifts are meant to be shared with all, not used for my own benefit.
Bonds: I owe me life to the priest who took me in when my parents died. I swindled and ruined a person who didn't deserve it. I seek to atone for my misdeeds but might never be able to forgive myself.
Flaws: I can't resist a pretty face. I can't keep a secret to save my life, or anyone else's.

Synopsis

Kaegero grew up in a small city full of shifty people and loose pockets. Her parents fell victim to the plague that ran rampant through the city when she was 8 years old. Kaegero spent her formative years on the streets with other orphans. She became an expert at pickpocketing and sneaking around the shadows. As a teenager and young adult, Kaegero developed into a well known criminal. Underground drug rings would often hire her for hits and heists.   When she was 18 years old, Kaegero was caught during a big drug bust. The courts took pity on her and noted her potential to change. Instead of imprisonment, she was sent to a monastery in a small mountain village to set her straight.   At first, Kaegero hated the peaceful good ways of the monks and students. She would skip out on meditation to steal snacks from the kitchens and sit on the roof to throw pebbles at the Tai Chi students. It wasn’t until the dojo master, Wonku, took hours of his time each day to painstakingly teach Kaegero how to read, that Kaegero fell into the culture. Learning how to read sparked a curiosity in her. Kaegero read all sorts of philosophies and slowly transitioned to being good.   While at the dojo, Kaegero trained with the others to achieve physical and mental perfection. She became one of the top monks in the monastery due to her physical strength and extreme mental endurance.   Only a short while after her transition, the monastery fell under attack by a band of local mobsters looking for ancient artifacts. Kaegero ran into the battle fist first, knocking out a few of the mobsters and apologizing for the injuries along the way. In the heat of the battle, a child of the monastery ran through trying to find their mother. Kaegero dove through the chaos to rescue the child. The child was unharmed but unfortunately, Kaegero was struck in the eye with an arrow.   After the mobsters were held off and defeated, Wonku treated Kaegero’s injury. He slowly removed the arrow and healed the wound, but Kaegero’s sight in her right eye was forever gone. Wonku later blessed the scar with a northern star tattoo; “May this misfortune be your compass. Remember this as a lesson in patience and let this moment guide you forevermore.”   When Kaegero was 28 years old, Wonku deemed her fit to complete her training and re-enter society as a changed woman. Wonku freed her of her duties and studies but urged her to bestow moral righteousness upon the people by ridding the world of peril. Kaegero took this message to heart and immediately started working as a mercenary; only taking jobs to help underprivileged people in need.   While Kaegero is changed for good, she still uses her criminal tricks and tactics to fool others. She is described as a bit of a brick head, but her big heart gets her through most situations.

Kaegero's Poems for Ella

She is a gentle spring breeze
My sun and my moon
A luscious garden of beauty
The north star in the dark sky
And dat butt hot

Every time
I see your face
It reminds me
Of you

I like crime
You like crime
I am bad at poems
I miss you

You grew on me
Like mildew on a waffle
Come back I like you

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Please come back
You took my heart with you
I want it back, it's mine
