Soulflare

Soulflare
7th-level evocation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Self (30-foot radius)
Components: V, S, M (a phoenix feather burned to ash)
Duration: Instantaneous
Soulflare is a spell of devastating force, channeling the raw energy of life itself into a destructive burst. When you cast this spell, a surge of radiant energy explodes outward from you, encompassing a 30-foot radius. Each creature in the area, excluding you, must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 8d6 radiant damage and is blinded for 1 minute. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage and isn't blinded.
The power of Soulflare is such that it affects the very essence of life in its vicinity:
Soulburn: Affected creatures that fail their saving throws suffer from the soulburn effect. At the start of each of its turns while blinded, the creature takes an additional 2d6 radiant damage due to the lingering soulfire.
Life Echo: If a creature is reduced to 0 hit points by this spell, it releases a burst of life energy. All creatures within 10 feet of it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 radiant damage.
Rejuvenation Wave: If you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points with this spell, you gain temporary hit points equal to the radiant damage dealt to that creature.
The blinding effect of Soulflare can be ended by a successful Constitution saving throw at the end of each of the affected creature's turns.
Due to the intense nature of this spell, after casting it, you can't cast spells of 1st level or higher until the end of your next turn, as the release of such potent life energy temporarily drains your magical reserves.
  Classes: Sorcerer, Cleric, Paladin
