Vortex Gaunlets

Vortex gauntlets were worn by gravity mages in the military during the Aurora Era. However, they stopped being used after the war ended due to the fact that the materials used to make them were rare, so the mage government just kept the vortex gaunlets in one of the government vaults after the war.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Has a small compartment. The bearer has to use gravity magic to pull and compress objects into the compartment. In addition, the metals used to forge the gauntlet enhace gravity magic.

Manufacturing process

An electric arc is used to melt Achnyx and Molybdenum. Then, the metals are mixed together with the stirring rod. Metal magic is used to draw out the right amount of the mixed metal, to fold the metal into itself mutiple times, and to shape the metal. This repeats until all of the metal parts of the gauntlet are made. The plates are left to cool. Magic is not used to speed up the cooling process because it would warp the metal. Then the parts are connected to cloth or leather and the other metal parts. Sometimes magic is used to make the gauntlet lighter.

Significance

Used in The Great Mage-Human War during the Aurora Era. Gravity Mages would pull the tools and weapons that the humans used. They would compress the objects into the vortex gaunlet's compartment. Then, the mages would go back to their emcampments to analyze the weapons and tools.
