Additional Information
Facial characteristics
Raptaurs have two forward eyes, a beak-like muzzle full of sharp teeth, and a feathered crest.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They have a strong sense of smell and can see in low light. They also have natural talent of sound mimicry. Good for signalling and attracting prey.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
They mostly name their offspring after their favorite sounds. Since they are hard to pronounce, non-raptaurs try to guess their names. For example: Lightning Crack, Whoo Whoooo, ChirpChirpchirp, etc.
Average Technological Level
They use stone age tools and weapons. Their favored weapons include bow, arrows, clubs, and spears.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Most people think Raptaur language is random non-sense, but it's actually very complex. Most of the time they use sounds for individual names and nouns, and claw or foot motion for most commands. For example: Pawing the ground with the right foot means "good"; pawing the ground with the left foot means "bad"; palm out means "stay". Their are sounds they use for verbs. For example: A sizzling sound would mean "cook".
Some Raptaurs try to learn the Nerachi language, but they are so use to mimicry that they have no default voice. So it sounds like ten to twenty people are taking turns say each word.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
They rarely have relations with other species, and would more likely see them as food.
