Timeline
In the year 236, it is written that..
- An epidemic with an infection rate of 41% - 50% and a mortality rate of 20% - 29%. During this plague, Dark Elves were publicly shamed and killed – blamed for bringing the disease from their undercity
- Dwarves establish the Merchant’s Guild in the budding village of Azurehaven.
- Wood Elves assist in cleansing the Undercity of Aden, putting a halt to the spreading sickness. The Dark Elven Queen Syranas Un’fyrnthra openly slaughtered the healers of Eamane, sparking new hostilities.
- The settlement treaty was broken between Aden and Teirar Bali, further escalating problems between the elven factions.
- The Talva Ruins are discovered. Ancient magics and artifacts suggest it was truly the island where Elspeth and Eldeos first set foot in the world. The treasures are said to be priceless. None have been taken from the isle.
- Father Gideon de Galtres is made Leader of the Phoenix Order in Stromania. Worship of Eldeos spreads across the city. The Phoenix Knights are established within the month. Unlicensed mages are outlawed.
- Dwarven inventor, Gimdrak Regyr, is brought before the Tribunal for treason against the crown. The caves of Thul Tulon are closed to all outsiders for the duration of the trial. Details are unknown. Gimdrak vanishes from the records.
- Aden is rumored to be stockpiling resources. Weapons, magic, and most importantly, slaves. Teirar Bali and Maelar Shyr begin alliance talks.
- The Threatu emerge, pulled from solitude by the border skirmishes between the Dark and Wood Elves.
- Tensions on the southern tip of Eyndara have hit a boiling point between Draconians and the nomadic humans. War breaks out in the winter.
- A military campaign was launched by the Draconians to push Humans off the southern Eyndaran plain.
- The last month of the year produced a formal declaration of war between the two races.
- The War of the Dry Sea erupted at the start of summer between Saphillia and the nomadic human kings roaming Eyndara. Amount those tribes, were lords that would eventually spawn leaders in Wulfgren, Valnoria, and Merkythia. The war spanned twenty years before a very tense peace was orchestrated by the High Elves.
- With the War of the Dry Sea raging across Eyndara, across the map the Dwarves of Thul Tulon were digging up ancient golems from days long past.
- The island of Kenai, far in the southern seas, becomes home to the Orc Tribes driven from the edge of Eyndara by dragon fire.
- Distracted by the Draconian/Human war, the High Elves fail to prepare for a devasting strike from the Dark Elven Queen. A small village on the outskirts of Teirar Bali rule is all but obliterated. Syranas shows herself for the first time in two hundred years.
- The Wood Elves depart for their yearly journey to Celol Var Forest, unwilling to aid either side. Both left the grace of Eamane, let them suffer.
- Syranas withdraws to the Under City after the High Elven King Ruhil Vanvaul turned the full might of his military on the Dark Elven invaders. The first push to the surface was marked as a failure. Aden territory goes silent and the Dark Elves pull away from the surface.
- The Threatu establish a trade contract with the Wood Elves during their traditional migration.
- Merkythia elects a Small Council due to a rise in piracy in their waters. Securing a ship design from dwarven inventors promises a strong navy.
- The island south of Valnornia was purchased outright in a supply treaty worked out with Merkythia. The kingdom was quick to grow with the added land.
- The War of the Dry Sea turns the vast forests of Eyndara to desert with its conclusion. Before their departure, draconians declare that human greed would not be rewarded. The land was blanketed in dragon fire, making it an infertile ocean of charred sand.
- The Southern Isles of Maelthra are claimed by Draconians. The kingdom of Saphillia is formerly established and most contact with the rest of the world is cut off.
- The human tribes take their defeat with grace, splintering upon reaching the fields of Del’Mah and Taur.
- Six years of quiet political back and forth between Aden and Teirar Bali come to a climax with a treaty meeting. Syranas does not show. A high insult to King Ruhil and his nobles.
- Aly’ithra Xiltyn, general of Aden’s forces, summons a demon in the middle of the conclave – The demon, impowered by the soul, detonates in the center of the valley. King Ruhil escapes with only a fraction of his original entourage.
- War is declared by Aden. A large-scale force bolstered by demonic summonings drive the High Elves back into Teirar Bali borders. Over the span of a year, all villages (human and elf alike) are cleared from the area.
- Dwarven technology is purchased from an unknown dealer, sending Aden on the quick path to a surface kingdom.
- Azurehaven council are forced to recognize Dark Elven representatives by the end of the year.
- Xiltyn Trading Company emerges as direct competition to the Dwarven Merchant Guild and the Merkythian Sailors Guild. Rumors speculate some illegal cargo and other shady dealings have landed the Xiltyn some rather powerful sponsors.
- A Sirok Rebellion erupts on the Valnorian southern island and is quickly squashed.
- Valnoria holds trials for rebellion leaders. All are found guilty and executed. The “Sirok Act” is finally passed, forcing non-humans and foreigners to have a permit to conduct business in Valnorian borders.
- Aden secures an alliance with Celol War Threatu Tribes. One of the only races to publicly work with the Dark Elves, a sense of caution begins to surface through the High and Wood Elven people.
- Threatu establish themselves as warriors to be respected, causing Dwarves to compete for their services. The Dwarven Merchant Guild and the Xiltyn Trading Company begin a subtle dance of sabotage and theft to undermine one another.
- Civil unrest ignites and dies within a month in the heart of Aden. Three heads of house are deemed murdered. All men. The supposed promise of males being given equal rights seems to be larger forgotten. Few seem willing to point this out while Syranas rules.
- Merkythia establishes itself as a world-renowned ship builder thanks to the fame of one Nathan McBranen. His business supplies nobles and military bodies. Namely Merkythian and Valnorian in origin.
- Stomanian Phoenix Knights secure an outpost in Valnoria, Merkythia, and Azurehaven. Small temples to Eldoes are constructed. A priest, healers, and four knights are assigned at each. No one seems to have a problem with the presence, but probing questions have yielding nothing in terms of why the Realm of the Phoenix felt the need.
- Cecilia Vaughn opens a proper Adventurer’s Guild in the heart of Azurehaven. Quickly rising to a moderate level of fame, the golemancer is the “go to” for unconventional work.
- The first schematics for an airship are leaked from Thul Tulon. The Dwarven nobility go into a form of lock down.
- Exploration of the Talva Ruins occurs for the first time in over sixty years. A small party employed by the Azurehaven Adventurer’s guild manages to land and discover a partially underground temple near the northern tip.
- Six months after the initial party arrived in Talva, a secondary party discovers the skeletons at the stairwell of the temple. The last report had included the coordinates. Their deaths were reported, and the ruins were labeled too dangerous for the average guild member. Cecilia herself refuses to tempt the wrath of whatever lurks beneath the ground.
- Titus Armavont XIV adds to the Sirok Act, making all marriages to non-humans require a permit and donation to the crown. Current marriages to half-breeds are considered legal. This has caused a fair amount of unrest among the common caste.
- The Sirok Act is ill received by the non-human kingdoms. Aden purposely sends diplomats to test just how far they can push the powers that be. This has resulted in several tense meetings, leaving Valnorian nobles biting their tongues.
- Blatant buying and selling of slaves is outlawed in all but Aden, Merkythia, Kenai, Celol Var, and the majority of Taur.
- The second recorded expedition to Talva Ruins proves to be another fruitless endeavor. The crew comes away with a handful of riches, but little else much to historians dismay. Whatever secrets may have been uncovered remain hushed by the survivors that returned.
- A large scale attack through Teirar Bali's Academy portal leaves the High Elven kingdom in shock. Aden declares war.
- Aden falls to internal corruption, with poorly executed coup by one Faolin Estrond leading to not only her own demise, but that of the long reigning Queen Syranas Un'fyrnthra. A coordinated reclamation between Teirar Bali, Maelar Shyr, Wulfgren, Faerune, Saphillia, and Thul Tulon managed to purge the city of the demons running wild but bring it back to order.
- Debate sets in to put Sabrae Xiltyn on Aden's throne. As of winter, martial law is still in place with no clear cut decision on the matter.
