Sensitivity

The third of the sorceries, a gift to the third of the intelligent races. It was originally used by the ɮudōju, who mastered it; it was the secondary sorcery of the Ðōnujulaeab, and the tertiary sorcercy of the Zerɮudōju.   This sorcery is the most passive and inactive of the three sorceries. It was not at first recognised as a sorcery when the ɮudōju Awoke. The other two races thought at first there was to be no new revelation of abilities from the youngest of them; for, being so passive, their sensitivity went unnoticed for some time.   This ability was influenced by the deep connections in the world itself; connections between plants, animals, the earth, the elements, the shadows. Everything was connected and they could feel all those connections. They could feel how they interacted with each other, they could feel each other's emotions in the waves that they gave off. This was unique in that the ɮudōju clearly had the strongest emotions of the three races. They simply felt everything more strongly than the others did for a long time.

Effect

Sensitivity is also called the sorcery of the bond or the connection. It involves feeling what ties two or more things together and being able to read and understand that connection. For everything is connected, regardless of how one may feel.   The ways this sorcery can be used are many. It has many different pieces that interact and play off of each other. It acts as a constant passive awareness, it serves as a guide, and it enables one to give new shape to the world.   It earliest known uses are hard to know exactly. The ɮudōju knew from the moment that they awoke the depth of their connection, but it was not until the Great Council that they truly understood what they had. That they had their own gift of sorcery that they could share. They felt they had always known of their power, but they thought all others shared it. It was a quiet strength; but to the other two races, being able to see the world for what it really was was the greatest gift of all.   They learned to focus their power, now that they knew what it was. They sat quietly and simply let the energy- for this is what it truly was- flow through them. Over time the ɮudōju realised they could change the connections, play with them. They could strengthen or weaken them as they chose. They could even learn to see the ley lines of elemental energy so valued by the zerɮudōju. Bu their greatest joy lay in learning to touch something and learn, in their heart, what it was.   They could also leave imprints of themselves behind for others to find. Their power was not only passive. They could actively influence the world they were so connected to; through sheer strength of emotion they could soak a thing in that energy and leave it as a marker, a memento, or a talisman.

Side/Secondary Effects

Their practice of sorcery enabled them to live longer, though it was not through sensitivity alone that they extended their lifespans. It is also rumoured that lifelong practice of this sorcery could change one in other ways not seen before, and in ways still not truly understood.   The overuse of sensitivity, especially within a short time, can put a great strain on the user. The user will find themselves feeling weak and tired as though they just worked physically for a long time. They also are prone to headaches, migraines, hypersensitivity to sensory stimulus. Opening oneself up to such powerful energies can be overwhelming and hard to cut off. After expanding one's senses, it takes time to bring them back in, and it is best to go somewhere quiet and dark to recentre.

Manifestation

This sorcery is entirely metaphysical and cannot be seen by another. However the user may see various lines, ripples, or waves of energy, depending on how they choose to realise them.   There is also the creation of talismans or charms as mentioned above. This is one of the ways users can influence the Physical World without impacting it in a physical manner. By pouring emotional energy into a thing (be it living or not) they can saturate that thing and create a kind of aura around it. That aura will continue to produce the energy for a short time.

Source

Their powers flow from the world itself, often credited to the shadow and their own inner strength.
