Fairy dragon

They're the smallest dragons you can find in Centurion. They come in many different colors, have many natural magical talents, are generally the size of a housecat and live for the most part in Zanfa forest.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Fairy dragons have almost the same build as many other dragons, except that they have feathers, butterfly wings, glow and sparkle whenever they use their magic and have the biggest eyes compared to other dragons.

Biological Traits

They're the smallest and the shortest living dragons but have the most feathers on their body and know the most natural spells than the much bigger dragons. It's very hard to tell which ones are male and which ones are female.

Genetics and Reproduction

The fairy dragon reproduces like other dragons, but they do it where no one can find them and even see them. They are believed to lay eggs too but nobody saw a fairy dragon egg before.

Growth Rate & Stages

Dragons are known to grow rapidly and infinitely until they die of old age or get slain/killed. But fairy dragons only grow as big as house cats. When they become old, they lose their vibrant colors and their feathers slowly fade to grey.

Ecology and Habitats

Fairy dragons love to live where there's plenty of flora, water and trees growing close to one another. Many good hiding places for them. They mostly hide from many threats and predators, only when they feel safe, they come out and interact with other animals, sometimes they even talk to people when they see no threat in them.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Fairy dragons are omnivores. They eat bugs, little fishes, fruits and vegetables.

Biological Cycle

Fairy dragons seem to appear more often during the spring and summer season. But once the cold arrives, they just disappear until winter is gone.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Fairy dragons have small feather ears which are not so well for hearing, but they compensate it with their excellent view abilities. They can look from far away and spot anything and anyone! They're capable of using any magic spells to survive.

Conservation Status

Fairy dragons have no fear to go extinct, since they are well known in magic, they can hide well. Nobody knows where they have their nests, how they make their nests if they do so and how their eggs look like.
