Dragonian

Dragonians are a reptile race with wings and they‘re found in forests and jungles, along with their tribes and clans. They don‘t prefer the civil life and live in small villages. They‘re one of the few races that honor, worship and have a high respect for the dragons.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They look like their cousin race, the Drakonians, but what separates them from one another is that Dragonians have wings, live in jungles with their tribes and clans and have a deeper connection with the dragons.

Biological Traits

The dragonians have a strict genderrole list. The female dragonians have the responsibility to organize everything that‘s happening and planned in their villages. Some of them also stand guard and watch for enemies. When an enemy should attack or oppose a threat, the guards attack with spears, arrows and bows and their dragon breaths. The male dragonians are mostly sent out for food, resources and often times to aid other tribes and clans when they need help. Both male and female are allowed to go to the dragon temple and/or summon a dragon for aid/support and in return they give the dragons food and valuables as a peace offering and worship.

Genetics and Reproduction

Dragonians get it on like any other sentient race/species and lay eggs.

Growth Rate & Stages

Dragonians are hatched with their wings and are very tiny at the beginning. As they grow older and taller, their wings grow with them as well, even at a faster rate so they would be able to fly when they become adults. Also once they hit puberty, their breathing power grows stronger and most of them stick to one elemental breath power until they‘re experienced enough to learn more than one.

Ecology and Habitats

Dragonians enjoy living in jungles and forests where they are among their own people. But even if not, they can also live elsewhere as long as it‘s not too cold and not too hot. They like the company of other reptilian races and dragons but they would also welcome anyone friendly and those that don‘t intend on destroying their habitats.

Dragonians are carnivores.

Biological Cycle

Dragonians can move to any place where they feel safe and warm. When the winter comes, they fly further to the South until they reach the volcanic landscapes.

Naming Traditions

Dragonians give each other dragon names and dragon related names because they believe it would establish a closer bond with the dragons.

Major Organizations

The majority of the Dragonians belong to the Dragoncult like the Drakonians, Swamp Drakonians, Diakins and Nagas. But even so other races have joined the cult as well, even if they come in very small numbers. Each Dragonian village belongs to a tribe or/and clan.

Beauty Ideals

The more they look like dragons, the better.

Common Dress Code

Dragonians don‘t prefer a lot of clothing so they mostly run and fly around halfnaked.

Common Taboos

If a villager or guest has a distaste for dragons, they usually can’t stay because dragons take a big offense to that and would attack a village if very provoked.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Dragonians see their other reptilians as brothers and sisters, even if they don‘t happen to worship the dragons. They have no other opinions towards non-reptilian sentient races unless they worship/hate the dragons. Some dragonians (also drakonians) tend to be racist towards Avis for a historic reason that is no more relevant.
