Barrel house

A barrel house is designed to make room for more houses while still being roomy by having more than one floor. Each barrel house has a door, round windows that look like those you see on ships and stairs. Everything else can be decorated and modified to any tenant's liking.
Most people who live in barrel houses prefer to have their kitchen on the ground floor and their bed rooms/storage/office/hobby room/etc. upstairs.
Barrel houses are also practical for moving out somewhere else since those can be transported by just rolling them by pushing them, however the barrel house must be empty for the furnitures not to be damaged. Such buildings can also be stapled over another barrel house, but then ladders are required to reach the barrel houses that are above. You can see most of them in cramped/crowded places such as huge cities that have many slum quarters, even at the docks where container houses are. Barrel houses are a perfect balance between a normal house and a tent. Those who live in such barrel houses are people who don't earn much money, at least less than a commoner.

Purpose / Function

Primarily barrel houses were invented for people who cannot afford to live in actual houses and to reduce the cost of buidling actual houses. For places where no longer regular houses can be built are barrel houses even the most practical to house. Originally they were purposed to have many beggars share them to reduce the number of people living on the streets.

Architecture

The barrel houses are almost built like any barrel, only that they are much bigger for people to live in. What also makes them different from regular barrels are the windows, a door for the entrance and ironwood being used for the walls to make them sturdier.
