Zokido Shifter carvers

Zakido shifters are known throughout the world as the best carvers. They have been known to carve anything from wood to stone. The Zakido shifters are canine and live in small villages. They trade and live mostly following the Zakido law, however many rebel and follow their own religion which is of Eulonith, and do so in secret.  The Eulonith religion is what started them to carve things in the first place.  While every shifter is taught how to carve there are only 40 master carvers. To become a master carver a young shifter has to show an interest in it, if they don’t they say that the carvings will not turn out well. They then train under a master caver for at least 100 years as an underling before they are a master. A master may train several at once. Not every underling will complete their training. Also if they are called away the master would take a few underlings with him. A master carver will specializes in one martial such as wood, or stone. Before the Efren isolation many would travel to Zakido from all over to get a carving from the a shifter there. Some were of better quality than others but all are sought after. The Zakido shifter carvers were also called on by many different governments, organizations, religions, nobles to carve for them. This ranges from small trinkets, too large murals on walls of temples.   “Delicate, elegant, delightful, beautiful, and captures life in a frozen moment.” Is what noble from Lafliuton said when he received one as a gift. It was a carving of a Terellas preparing for flight in a field of wild flowers. Which he received right before Efren became isolated it is the last known carving to leave the continent.   The carvings for many generations had been everywhere and while they were still exquisite they were kind of disregard because they were pretty common. Then Efren went into self imposed isolation, many carvings were lost, broken or thrown out. During this isolation on Efren the master carvers improved and refined their craft. As a result the new carvings are even more detailed and exquisite than before and many say that they are magical a move.   The Zakido shifter deny that any magic is used that it is just skill in the carving. While the newer ones are very sought after, when a full, intact, undamaged craving from before the isolation appears they are fought over as many nobles and rich folk want them.
