The Fury Contagion is a condition that can develop with old age in a shifter.
The Fury Contagion is a condition where the shifter is unable to change fully either way. They are stuck halfway between. This means that they have either their feline or canine ears and tails. The eyes are also akin to feline or canine. Next they are fury. Now this fur can be all over, partly, or just in really odd locations. Sometimes the hands or feet are paws. Sometimes the fur is full and covers everything and in others it is sparse.
Other symptoms of Fury Contagion is loss of control on magic. This condition also leaves the person more likely to catch more common illnesses. As this condition continues some have an increase of hair growth while others start losing it. Occasionally the hair will start growing inward causing huge sores called hair sores that burst and cause infection.
Most do not die from this condition most of the time it is from a common illness or infection from the burst hair sores.
The Fury Contagion is only seen in shifters. The Fury Contagion is also more common among the felines. This condition shows up around the age of 770 or give or take. The Fury Contagion is rarely seen on Efren. There have been some cases on Nucrana. Most are seen on Lafliuton and Owhua thou that might just because of the small population of Shifters on Efren and Nucrana.
There is no known cure for the Fury Contagion only ways to make them more comfortable and deal with the infections that arise. There are many Medics that are studying the nature of The Fury Contagion. There are several Medics that explore the many different plants to see if they can find a cure.
