Nagua

On the southwest coast of Efren in the kingdom of Slirene lies a quiet little town called Nagua. Nagua is nestled in the hills overlooking the distant shore. Many would not think to make the trek up from the harbor town, however, this little town of Nagua is the birthplace of the NagSli rugs. It is also the only place where you can get official Nagsli rugs. These rugs are highly sought after and known the world over. The rugs are of the highest quality, tightly woven, with bright colors, and patterns. These rugs are known to be passed down through families. The weavers spend 50 years learning their craft.
While the continent of Efren was in self-isolation the weavers honed their craft and the rugs were mostly unknown. Rugs were not very popular, however that changed when a noble was forced to stop in the harbor town due to weather. Soon however the harbor town was evacuated to Nagua because of the worsening weather. There the Noble from Owhua stayed in the local inn where in each room were these rugs. He loved them so much that he inquired where the innkeeper had gotten the rugs. The innkeeper told him that they were made there in town. When the weather cleared the noble loaded his ship with the rugs and left for home. Soon more travelers and merchants were asking for the rugs. This quickly became the largest export for Nagua. Nagua itself is a quiet little town. Most that live there are simple elves. Most either make a living from the woods that border the town or do different crafts, such as the weaving of rugs. The town government has a council that is created from the different craft gilds in the town. From there they pick out the governor. The person can only be governor once and holds the position for 20 years. There are a few other checks and balances in place to keep help keep the corrupt out. There are a few inns that have been built since the weaving of rugs has grown. These cater to the many merchants that come to trade for the rugs.
