Lafliuton war tradition

The kingdoms of Lafliuton traditions date back to when Lafiluton was over run with small warring tribes.   Over the generations different regions developed different fighting styles. With that bigger tribes began to form which then created kingdoms. In time three main kingdoms grew up Tavell, Priria and Edgestarlins. Still in the beginning they only taught the males to fight. Soon though in the kingdom of Edgestarlins they found it to be very beneficial for each member of the family to learn how to fight. For many years it was only the Edgestarlins that did this until an Edgestarlins princess married into the Tavell. From there it slowly spread to Priria. Now all are required to learn how to fight but only the boys and men were expected to do the fighting.   As the warring tribes grew into kingdoms they each developed their own hand to hand combat style, swords and techniques. Taking from and learning from he different tribes each took over. The only thing that is not widely different between the three kingdoms is archery.   Each kingdom has their own way of honoring their warriors. Tavell have a special burial ground for those who died in battle. In Edgestarlins there is a temple that has the names of the fallen warriors. In Priria the warriors after death were burned, then the ashes were taken mixed and used to make new weapons or talismans for the family they left behind. Every ten years the three kingdoms gather on the western part of Lafliuton to recreate the last major conflict between Tavell, Priria and Edgestrilins. During this mock battle their is still the occasionally injuries but no deaths in the last 500 years that they have been doing it. They do this mock battle to remember that they almost wiped themselves out because of war. Even so all three of Lafliuton’s kingdoms continue to be battle ready.
