Magnolia Bane, The Premised Blood Mage

Childhood

Born somewhere in a war divided countryside her and her family were casualties of conflict, losing their home, all their valuables, and any semblance of security in their lives. The family was approached by a traveling mage and was offered money and shelter in return for taking Magnolia, the youngest daughter as an apprentice. The family agreed to the terms and were compensated for selling their daughter. In reality Magnolia was taken as a hostage and along with multiple other children were kept and experimented on and groomed for the Mages rituals. Although resistant Magnolia aided in the performance of several rituals. She eventually gained the confidence of the Mage and was given more freedom than the other children there. Eventually a local kingdom discovered the illegal practices of the Mage and raided her tower. The mage was killed, the research was destroyed, and several young children were recovered from the ruins. Unable to find the families for these girls they were taken in by the kingdom and raised into adulthood. 

Blood Magic

From her time in the captivity of the Mage, Magnolia retained knowledge of the practices and rituals performed. She approached the Crown about continuing the magic research in service of the crown. Although initially denied she appealed to the crown several times until she was tentatively given permission under strict laws. She has discovered numerous medical breakthroughs and specialty magical items. She sells these items and cures and has led to a massive increase in the power and reputation of the kingdom she resides in

Services/Items

1. Drainage- she will pay a fixed gold for every leach of blood donated to the tower for research. 2. Disease treatment- She will medicate and help with the treat anyone who enters her tower for favor or payment. 3. Specialty healing potions- Potions derived from blood are more potent but can be more dangerous. Matching blood types get increased healing significantly. If you use a potion of a different blood type it may still heal you for base amount or itll have consequences 4. Healing potion "with the pulp"- Healing potion with leach remnants "pulp." These potions are extremely potent and can only be made from the persons own blood. Potion takes an action to consume and has a heal over time. Every 6 second player regains more hitpoits it will lead to exhaustion.

Current Status

Currently employed by kingdom as a legal blood mage . She provides unique items and abilities to the kingdom in return for her ability to gather material and research at her own behest
