Personal history
Norcana is the Head of the Arcane Convocation, the leaders of the schools of magic in Arendia. She began tutelage under the famed Archmage Ged after showing natural talent and aptitude when he passed through her village. As he tutored her, she quickly outstripped his other apprentices, developing a haughty manor to those she judged lesser than her. Whilst studying with Ged, she showed particular skill at thaumaturgic and transmutative magics, and upon his death, she took which relics he had bequeathed to her and travelled to Arendia, where she easily enrolled into the College of Thaumaturgy, at the Acadium, reaching the rank of Arcadine, and set about developing her arcane knowledge. Frustrated by the lack of cooperation and coordination between the eight colleges, she took to entering the other college's archives however upon being caught within the Scribery of the Heavens, she was banished from the Acadium Mystic. She then travelled to the vast archives held by the Jade Conjecture, where she further deepened her esoteric knowledge.
Returning to the Acadium, She presented some of her findings as her Attonement, and her Banishment was lifted. After quietly researching at for most of a decade she announced her intention to stand for the next Arcanist Primaris. Once the previous Arcanist Primaris stood down, she was chosen to lead the Acadium.
