The Salt Desert
A large expanse of desert around the south of the continent, some ways down from the jungles. Famous for the whitish appearance of its sand due to high salt content. Below the dunes are several massive deposits of rock salt, harvested by various cultures throughout history. The Eideli in particular set up expansive mines in the region, utilizing spindles to avoid the typical hazards of salt harvesting.
While the region's sand appears white due to small grain size, larger chunks of the material have a distinct rosy hue.
