Celestia

Celestia is a high magic world drawing inspiration heavily from real world myths and legends, where the stars of the night sky record the heroic deeds of the exceptional. The main continent of Orion is separated into the Four Kingdoms; Sol, Luna, Astra, and Umbra, which hold close to the Celestial Accords, a treaty formed some five hundred years ago banning war after a horrific weapon known as the Consumer was used, draining all life and mana from a stretch of land in the continent's center now known as the Void.   Lately there has been some trouble brewing both amongst the Kingdoms and within them, centuries of peace has bred complacency in several cites and administrative offices, leading to problems ranging from simple oversights to full corruption, driving some to lives of adventuring, banditry, or vigilantism to escape or overthrow their leaders. This has, at times, crossed borders, leading some of the more radical members of some settlements to take stances bordering on declarations of war for the failure of their neighbors to control their populace.   There are two other continents, Cygnus and Cepheus. Cygnus has several highly populated port cities, and roads between them, but further into the continent is still almost entirely untamed. Cepheus, however, is a recent discovery of the civilizations of the world, holding only a single known town on it; Andromeda. Cepheus settlers have encountered some small societies in it's harsh environment, some friendly, others hostile, but Andromeda has managed to stay relatively unharmed thanks to the defense of Luna's navy, the two experimental airships Haley and Tuttle proving quite capable. These two untamed lands are a draw for the Kingdoms, as in them lies ancient and powerful relics, mineral wealth, and fertile lands. Adventuring parties have been known to be recruited to handle tasks better suited to smaller groups for a share of the spoils.
