Casteros
The world of Casteros, a place of little solace and a wide array of trouble, only a generation after the volcanos eruption causing the doomed Age of Isolation's Start, a time of economic stand still forcing nations to rely solely on themselves for a period of time. While many nations fell some still stand. far east the raging growth of the land of the Wildmother, a gift to some a plague to others, eats away at the natural fauna and flora creating a nation sized forest of mystical properties, as well as the jagged cliffs. A treacherous mountain range of sharp stones and devastating falls. Hidden in the high mountains of the region called the Rockvale, though sits a small oasis of a mystery shrouded people, the Steeple of Spirits, a light in a dark world. Downwind the dry deserts of the Old Shade, the corpse of a long collapsed nation still writhing in agony as the populace slowly dies off in some ruins and rebuilds in others. Their prized monuments many claim to be slave built, sit as the last remnants of the Shadelean Federation. Theos Desma, three colossal Pyramids. South the young nation of Whitmoor, a thriving civilization of mostly humans, mostly unaffected by the Age of Isolation their magical and technological prowess is unrivaled giving them very little interest in the world outside, usually keeping to their own. Inside this young nation sits the city of Ragespell, a centuries old city still glimmering just north of the Dogwoods. A place of political trial and desperate power grabs. Far north sit the age old giant nations, the Kingdom of Thelheim, a vast dwarven underground nation filled with builders and miners, but new, or possibly even old, technology is found their nation seems to be shifting away from its old ways and developing faster than ever. Their neighboring nation, The High Empire of Elirius, the oldest nation in Casteros, stands staggered. Battle scarred from its near 10 year war with the Shadelean Federation, the Age of Isolation crippled their major cities leaving them a shell of their former glory, combined with the old nation of Roserest in an attempt to keep intact. But we start at the center, the small region comparably, of Elderbrand. Deep within the godsgift a port town named Whalekeep.
