Perakhuosh Wasteland

The Perakhuosh Wasteland is the name given to the huge area of wilderness north of the elven realm of Acratheia and west of the Anander river. The areas nearer the river are inhabited by the barbarous humans descended from the ancient civilisations that once existed in the area, while those further from the river and in the Hundervorne Mountains are inhabited by monstrous races like orcs, kobolds, goblins and minotaurs, as well as the tough barbarous human tribes.
The human tribes of Perakhuosh often attempted to raid or settle the areas across the river where their kin had lived for generations under the Taorminite empire. Since the Breaking of the pact and the dissolution of the Taorminite empire, these tribes have become increasingly bold in their attempts to smash and/or grab this territory. Perakhuoshi tribesmen, especially humans being forced south and east by the increasingly organised and aggressive orcish tribes, have recently crossed and captured the lowland areas to the East of the Anander river.
There are many ruined cities throughout the area from other civilisations which were destroyed in the Breaking of Nations during the Sixth Cycle, which has made it a common target for adventurers and treasure-seekers. The Black Archive is known to be partially buried within a field of basalt in the Hundervorne Mountains.
