An Elder Race Of Mountain Folk

If you ever see a Carminian Dwarf bathing naked in a high mountain river, you might think for a moment that you are looking at a baby sasquatch. Dwarves are covered in thick fur all over their bodies, with the exceptions of their eyelids and nose, palms of their hands, and bottoms of their feet. With clothes on, dwarves are easily discernible as such (mostly because sasquatch cubs do not wear clothes).

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humanoid, with a short, stocky frame. Completely covered in thick fur. Dwarves tend to develop muscle easily, and are generally quite strong.

Biological Traits

Due to their hirsute bodies, it is nearly impossible to discern one gender from another by sight alone. For this reason, dwarves have exceptionally developed olfactory glands to distinguish pheromones. +2 bonus to any check involving smell
Their thick coat of fur also makes dwarves highly resistant to cold. Cold damage is reduced by 2.
Dwarves, as a race, tend to be somewhat stronger than other races, but their muscular frames are not conducive to nimble movement. +2 Str, -2 Dex
