A pervasive misconception about dragons is that they are giant, flying, firebreathing lizards. This is due to the fact that dragons can naturally shapeshift at will into wyverns, and wyverns ARE giant, flying, firebreathing lizards.
When in their natural state, dragons are quite similar in appearance to humans or elves, which they frequently use to tremendous advantage when trying to blend in.
The dragons of Carminia claim to be the oldest dragon tribe in all the world.
