In the ages of Old the Empire of Man was found by the tribe of Hardan Hammerhand, son of Gorges Hammerhand. Gorges lead his people to colonize the lands of periphery of Elven territory after escaping slavery from the Giants. The settlement of these lands lead to eventual conflict between the races. Shortly after his father's death, Hardan lead his people and built his great Empire from conquered land from the Elven Hegemony.   It has been over a thousand years since than and the Empire's Third Dynasty, the Von Fritzburgs, now rule from Hammerfall, the Imperial Capital. Since than all but a handful of the Elven holds have fallen and their inhabitants slaughtered. In addition the Dwarven holds had fallen during the Second Dynasty and their descendants scrap by in the passes attacking and devouring lone passersby. The Orcs have been pushed of the continent to the scattered island chains. Forced to raid the Human coastal settlements to continue their warlike attitude.   Humanity's Empire is under siege. On all sides Orcish raiders attack, Mermen raid convoys, Elves seek to regain their Empire, and the Dwarves have become more aggressive in recent years. Only the wonders of Shot and Powder saves the Empire's boarders.
